In 1954, they secured a famous victory, retrieving land on Crichel Down that had been compulsorily requisitioned for war-training purposes.

The Roman Living History events that took place in 2022 at the Ancient Technology Centre featured Roman and Iron Age displays depicting life during the Roman occupation of Britain. The publicly attended events provided education and engagement that connected people to the historic landscape of Cranborne Chase.
