Dave Carey. British singer and songwriter. Born in Warrington on 7 July 1925, he died on 31 October 2015, aged 90. Carey sang with Lew Stone's band at the age of 16, and joined the Cyril Stapleton Orchestra in February 1951, replacing Bob Dale.

13 de abr. de 2014 · Dave Carey is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy. During the Vietnam War, after his plane was shot down, he was interred as a POW in Hanoi for five and a half years. His military honors include the Legion of Merit, five Bronze Stars, two Meritorious Service Medals, the Purple Heart, eight Air Medals, and the Navy Commendation Medal.
