David John Chalmers (20 de abril de 1966, Sídney, Australia) es un filósofo analítico australiano, especializado en filosofía de la mente y filosofía del lenguaje.
David Chalmers is a University Professor of Philosophy and Neural Science at New York University, and an Honorary Professor of Philosophy at the Australian National University. He is interested in the philosophy of mind (especially consciousness), the foundations of cognitive science, physics, and technology, and the philosophy of language, metaphysics and epistemology. His latest book is Reality+: Virtual Worlds and the Problems of Philosophy.
David John Chalmers (/ ˈ tʃ æ l m ər z /;) is an Australian philosopher and cognitive scientist specializing in the areas of philosophy of mind and philosophy of language. He is a professor of philosophy and neural science at New York University, as well as co-director of NYU's Center for Mind, Brain and Consciousness (along with Ned Block).

He won the bet after a study testing two leading hypotheses of consciousness failed to match the predictions of his adversary, neuroscientist Christof Koch, who wagered the bet in 1998.
