David Russell Weir CBE (born 5 June 1979) is a British Paralympic wheelchair athlete. He has won a total of six gold medals at the 2008 and 2012 Paralympic Games, and has won the London Marathon on eight occasions. He was born with a spinal cord transection that left him unable to use his legs.

David Weir is one of the most successful and celebrated Para athletes in the history of the sport having made his Paralympic debut at Atlanta 1996. He has since gone on to win ten Paralympic medals - including six golds - although he missed out on the podium at Rio 2016.
