Hace 5 días · Sherman Hemsley played the Deacon Frye from September 27, 1986 to July 27, 1991. Sherman played his character perfectly. Every week, we saw the Deacon trying some scheme to get the church and himself rich quickly. He never succeeded though, but it sure was fun to watch.
