4 de ene. de 2012 · Also in 1939, Eddie Collins Jr. made his debut with the Athletics, where he would spend three seasons as a light-hitting outfielder. Collins’s other son, the Rev. Paul Collins, officiated his father’s marriage to his second wife, Emily Jane Hall, in 1945.

13 de dic. de 2021 · Eddie Collins Jr. died of cardiac arrest at Southern Chester County Medical Center in Jennersville, Pa., on November 2, 2000. He was 83 years old and was survived by Jane and his two sons, Edward and Peter. Jane died on December 14, 10 days after her 81st birthday.
His son, Eddie Jr., was an outfielder who played for Yale University. He briefly saw major league action (in 1939 and 1941–42, all with the A's) and later worked in the Philadelphia Phillies ' front office.

2 de may. de 2018 · Collins is one of only five players in history with more than 500 steals and a .400 on-base percentage. Collins was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1939. He passed away March 25, 1951.
