16 de dic. de 2020 · Eddy Duchin was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, on April 1st 1910. He learned to play the piano as an infant, and later performed at high school dances and summer camps. He had his own band in college. In 1929 when he was approaching his last year at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy, he travelled to New York to look for a summer job.

Eddy not only played well, he looked well, his handsome features attracting the debutantes like moths to a flame. They came as much to see him play as hear him play. In 1956 Columbia Pictures issued "The Eddy Duchin Story", starring Tyrone Power and Kim Novak.
