Ferdinand Berthoud. Ferdinand Berthoud fue un relojero e investigador francés nacido el 18 de marzo de 1727 en Plancemont-sur-Couvet (cantón de Neuchâtel) y fallecido en Groslay (Val d'Oise), el 20 de junio de 1807. Obtuvo el título de maestro relojero en París en 1753.
watchmaker, scientist, Horologist-Mechanic by appointment to the King and the Navy. Ferdinand Berthoud (born 18 March 1727, in Plancemont-sur-Couvet, Principality of Neuchâtel; died 20 June 1807, in Groslay, Val d'Oise), was a scientist and watchmaker. He became master watchmaker in Paris in 1753.
Created in 2015, Ferdinand Berthoud watch company takes its name, and its inspiration in the design of its Haute Horology timepieces, from the 18th-century scientist and watchmaker Ferdinand Berthoud. Horologist to the King in Paris and to the Navy, he specialized in chronometers.
