Gangs Of New York descubre al mundo actual Five Points, un oscuro agujero de la ciudad, conocido por los lugareños como el centro del vicio y el desorden. “Gangs of New York” es una película con vocación didáctica, de esas que depende del nivel cultural del espectador lo que saque de ella. Es además punzante, y eso teniendo tan cerca el 11-S, era doblemente doloroso, muchos americanos lo que necesitaban en ese momento era ante todo un discurso simple y patriotero, y no que te metieran el dedo en el ojo como hace Scorsese.

Synopsis.
