George Keith was a convert to Quakerism, a leader of a schism within the Quakers, and a missionary for the Society for the Propagation of the Gospel in Foreign Parts. He wrote against the Quakers' doctrines and practices, and joined the Church of England in 1700. He produced vast quantities of literature throughout his life, but less studied than other leading Quakers.
