On 11 June 1972, he became the only driver in the history of motorsport to have won the Formula One world championship, the Indianapolis 500 and the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
GRAHAM HILL remains the only driver to have won the Indianapolis 500 (1966), the Formula One World Championship (1962 and 1968), and the Le Mans 24-Hours (1972). A mechanic at Lotus before he became a full-time professional driver, Hill won numerous international road racing events during a distinguished career spanning 20 years.
