Grant Birchall (born 28 January 1988) is a former Australian rules football player who played with the Hawthorn Football Club and Brisbane Lions in the Australian Football League. He is a 4 time AFL Premiership player and All-Australian and a member of the Tasmanian Football Hall of Fame.

The AFL world will say farewell to one of the legitimate “big game” players with the retirement of Lions defender Grant Birchall. “Birch” broke the news to his Lions teammates today that he was calling time on a decorated 287-game career that spanned 15 seasons.
Grant Birchall has one of the most decorated careers at the Lions, having won four premierships with Hawthorn during his 14 seasons there. He arrived in the Den in late 2019 after being traded from the Hawks to the Lions.
