Hawarden High School (Welsh: Ysgol Uwchradd Penarlâg) is an English language medium secondary school in Hawarden, Flintshire, Wales. It is part of the Flintshire LEA. [1] The school traces its history back to 1606 when a single-classroom grammar school was established with £300 left by a local resident named George Ledsham.
All of the subjects which are taught in Hawarden High School have been grouped into eight curriculum areas; this grouping has been found to be helpful to the organisation within a large school. The faculties are: Communications – This includes English Language, English Literature and Media Studies.
