Holy Family Convent is a national school in Jaffna, Sri Lanka. [1] [2] The school was established in 1845 and consists of both a Tamil and an English convent. History. The school was first managed by an Irish lady called Mrs. Flannagan with the aim of providing English education to the girls in Jaffna.

Holy Family Sisters took over their mission in the first Catholic school when they took over in 1862, the then existing English School run by Ms. Flannagan, who started this school with the intention of giving an English education to the girls in Jaffna. Sisters named the school as Holy family Convent, Jaffna which exists to this day.
