Homer (grec antic: Ὅμηρος, Hómēros, llatí: Homerus) és el suposat autor de les obres literàries més antigues conegudes a Europa: els poemes orals la Ilíada i l'Odissea. També se li atribueixen un seguit d'obres menors que són conegudes com els himnes homèrics.
