Howard Elliott Ashman (17 de mayo de 1950 - 14 de marzo de 1991) fue un dramaturgo y letrista estadounidense. Howard earned a BA in Theater from Goddard in 1971 as his interest in theater began to move from performance to directing and writing. Howard attended Indiana University, where he was a member of the Indiana Theater Company, the university’s professional repertory company.
