- Our School
The Howard of Effingham School is a co-educational secondary school and sixth form with academy status. It is located in the village of Effingham, Surrey, to the west of Little Bookham. The school is part of the Howard Partnership Trust, a Multi-Academy Trust which includes four secondary and five primary schools.
Our Curriculum Intent. The languages department will meet the Howard’s Curriculum Intent by: We will bring out the best by opening minds and broadening horizons through learning about languages and cultures that enrich our global community, as well as challenging stereotypes, prejudices and preconceptions.
Learning for Life. The curriculum is timetabled in a ten-day cycle of 50 one hour lessons. On joining the school in Year 7 students are placed in one of two populations, Arks or Royals. These groups are of equal size and represent the full ability range.
