In a reply to RTI, The Career Development Centre (CDC) of Institute disclosed that out of 2,490 students who registered for placements in the 2022-2023 season, only 1,675 students were successfully placed, while 574 received pre-placement offers (PPOs).

The previous year saw 641 out of 2,256 students in a similar situation. IIT BHU also grapples with high numbers of unplaced students, with 692 out of 1,735 awaiting placements in the current academic year, compared to 336 out of 1,428 in 2022-23.
