Ideal Mini School is a public secondary mini school in Vancouver, British Columbia. It is a complete grade 8–12 high school program. It is generally accepted as the "steward school" of Sir Winston Churchill Secondary, although it is run independently under the leadership of head teacher Sandra Hatzisavva.
Established in 1972, Ideal Mini School is a district mini school program located in Vancouver, BC, Canada. Its Grade 8-12 enriched academic program has inspired generations of young minds, while emphasizing community, collaboration, leadership, mentorship, and social responsibility.
Ideal Mini School is the only 5-year Vancouver District mini school program that operates in its own building with its own name. Although we are administered by Sir Winston Churchill Secondary, we are located 2 blocks South.
A home, away from home. Ideal Mini is a Grade 8 to 12 program that offers courses at all grade levels. It is the only mini school in the VSB that is completely off campus from its steward school and housed in its own building.
