Jerod Mayo Sr. (born February 23, 1986) is an American football coach and former linebacker who is the head coach for the New England Patriots of the National Football League (NFL). He previously played with the Patriots for eight seasons.
Jerod Mayo is the 15th head coach in Patriots history, hired in 2024 after playing for the team for seven seasons. He was a Pro Bowler and a Super Bowl champion as a linebacker, and he coached the defense to top-10 rankings in four of his five seasons as an assistant.
