John Mankiewicz (born February 18, 1954) is an American television and film executive producer and screenwriter. He was co-executive producer for House of Cards and Bosch, he co-created the television series The Street and has written and produced episodes for House M.D. and occasionally writes for The New Yorker.

He was the uncle of Frank Mankiewicz, a well-known political campaign manager who officially announced the assassination of presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy in 1968, and the late Johanna Mankiewicz Davis, a writer who was struck and killed by a taxicab in New York City at the age of 36.

He became a dialoguist, then a screenwriter on numerous Paramount productions in Hollywood, most of them Jack Oakie vehicles.
