1384/1387 - 17 July 1453. John Talbot, 1st Earl of Shrewsbury and 1st Earl of Waterford was born at Bletchmore, in Shropshire. He was the second son of Sir Richard Talbot 4th Baron Talbot, of Goodrich castle, in Herefordshire and Ankaret le Strange, 7th Baroness Strange of Blackmere.
