21 de jul. de 2017 · Haywood became a dance student of Doris W. Jones, and together they founded the Jones-Haywood School of Ballet, where Haywood taught until 1978. In 1976, they completed Artists of the Dance, an hour-long documentary on their life and work. Haywood died in 1978.
20 de dic. de 2020 · The Jones-Haywood School has been a boon for Dance Theatre of Harlem over the years, training many of its dancers including Hinton Battle and Dionne Figgins, who began ballet lessons at the Georgia Avenue NW studio when she was six.
