Juan Peregrino Anselmo (30 April 1902 – 27 October 1975) was a Uruguayan footballer who played as a striker for Uruguay national team. He was a member of national team which won 1930 FIFA World Cup. He scored three goals in the tournament, including two in the semi-finals. He was the first false 9 in a World Cup.

Biography. A classic and powerful center forward, Juan Anselmo was a substitute at the 1928 Olympics but was the undoubted protagonist of the 1930 World Cup victory. Anselmo took over from Pedro Petrone and scored three goals, including two in the semi-final against Yugoslavia.
