Klaus Dibiasi (born Oct. 6, 1947, Solbad Hall, Austria) is an Austrian-born Italian diver who dominated the platform event from the late 1960s to the mid-1970s, winning three Olympic gold medals. He was the first Italian to win a gold medal in a swimming or diving event.
Biography. Italy’s Klaus Dibiasi won a silver medal in platform diving at the 1964 Olympics, and went on to win gold in the same event at the next three Games (1968, 1972, 1976). This makes Dibiasi the only Olympic diver to have won three successive gold medals, and he was the first diver to have won medals at four Olympics.
