Kris Commons. Kristian Arran Commons (born 30 August 1983) is an English-born Scottish professional footballer who played as an attacking midfielder . Commons started his career at Stoke City and made his debut in 2000. After four years with the club, he rejected a new contract and signed for Nottingham Forest on a free transfer.

Biography. Kris came through the ranks at Stoke City before going on to make 138 appearances in four years at Nottingham Forest. He joined Derby County in 2008 and the midfielder's impressive form caught the eye of then Scotland manager George Burley, who handed him his first cap in a 0-0 draw in a friendly against Northern Ireland at Hampden Park.
