Krzysztof Kieślowski (Polish: [ˈkʂɨʂtɔf kʲɛɕˈlɔfskʲi] ⓘ; 27 June 1941 – 13 March 1996) was a Polish film director and screenwriter. He is known internationally for Dekalog (1989), The Double Life of Veronique (1991), and the Three Colours trilogy (1993 –1994).
Krzysztof Kieślowski (odsłuchaj ⓘ odsłuchaj) (ur. 27 czerwca 1941 w Warszawie, zm. 13 marca 1996 tamże) – polski reżyser i scenarzysta filmowy, przedstawiciel nurtu zwanego kinem moralnego niepokoju, kawaler Orderu Sztuki i Literatury.
Krzysztof Kieslowski graduated from Lódz Film School in 1969, and became a documentary, TV and feature film director and scriptwriter. Before making his first film for TV, Przejscie podziemne (1974) (The Underground Passage), he made a number of short documentaries.
