Laura Nyro fue una cantautora de Nueva York que dio inicio a su carrera discográfica en 1967 con este “More Than A New Discovery”, un LP que fue producido por Milt Okun en el sello Verve. El disco recogía básicamente canciones grabadas en 1966 que años después se editaron en un disco titulado “The First Songs”.
