The set-up is simple: Buster plays a movie theater projectionist who fancies himself an amateur detective. When his girlfriend’s father’s pocketwatch is stolen and he’s framed for the crime, he gets to put his detective skills to the test.
Buster Keaton's stunts are still legendary! His parents were -part time- snake oil sellers, he never was properly schooled and he grew up being a showman from age 3 onwards. Albeit he only had one decade of real fame (the 1920s), I consider him as one of America's greatest innovators and I believe he defined the genre for generations.
