Love Is for Suckers is the fifth studio album by the American heavy metal band Twisted Sister. It was released by Atlantic Records on July 3, 1987. It was the band's last album before their breakup and subsequent reunion and release of Still Hungry in 2004. It is also their last album to be composed of entirely new, original material.
Charles Frederick Kip Winger (born June 21, 1961) is an American singer and bass guitarist, active as a member of the rock band Winger, an orchestral composer, and a solo artist. He initially gained notability as a member of Alice Cooper's band, contributing bass to his Constrictor (1986) and Raise Your Fist and Yell (1987) albums.
21 de ene. de 2014 · “Wake Up (The Sleeping Giant)” could have been a Twisted Sister song with its themes of rebellion and youth angst. “Hot Love”, the first single, was the song that got me to buy this album. A catchy pop-rocker with irrestible guitars courtesy of maestro Reb Beach, “Hot Love” was as commercial as it gets.

Winger was formed in 1987 by Kip Winger after he did some backing vocals on Twisted Sister's fifth album Love Is for Suckers. Kip Winger was a former member of Alice Cooper's band as was lead guitarist Reb Beach, who also worked on the Love Is for Suckers album.
While Love Is For Suckers saw release in the late 80’s during the height of the hair metal movement it certainly was far from the ‘Sisters best output and had a strange feeling of trying to be modern and yet still typically 80’s.
