The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is an annual parade in New York City presented by the U.S.-based department store chain Macy's. The parade first took place in 1924, tying it for the second-oldest Thanksgiving parade in the United States; it has been held every year since except from 1942 through 1944.

Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade 2023 – Parade Route. There are 2.5 miles of public viewing along the NYC route this year. A. Kickoff. West 77th Street & Central Park West at 8:30am ET. No public viewing here. B. Central Park West. Early risers arrive starting at 6am ET on the west side of Central Park West from West 75th to West 61st Streets.
