3 de mar. de 2024 · Mark Rober dropped his own latest video at around the same time and it's quite possibly the most sciencey video he's done yet, the 17 minutes is crammed full of great stuff for my 9 year old. It's said he gained 8 million subscribers after the Mr Beast video.
19 de mar. de 2023 · This most recent has me pretty concerned about the future of the channel. Mark started off by saying "this video is not sponsored at all by this company," yet he clearly receives full cooperation from that company in making the video, and most likely script control from them.
4 de feb. de 2021 · I don’t think it’s worth the $250 just because you don’t really get feedback from Mark, just randos on the internet. Online courses are harder in general to get feedback but in college you can go into office hours. No office hours here, and no one you can really turn to either. I had to find an engineering friend to help me.

Mark Rober quit NASA to make YouTube videos. He can't sell out by making videos because it's his job. For him to be a sellout he'd have to let his audience know what he stands for and then go against it. If he said, "I don't care about money it's all about the science" then he'd be a sellout.

I understand 250$ is a lot but Mark probably took hours and hours planning, writing, filming and editing the course. (There is also the monthly fee that is probably not cheep). For me I just consider the time I spend enjoying it versus the money spent.

Mark did say, "I'm very private about my private life", "I normally don't eat breakfast or drink coffee,..." and "I separated from my wife, two years ago." So it doesn't sound completely against the feel that he put out in the interview that he's going through a transitional period that may or may not also involve his personal beliefs.
