Maurice White (Memphis, 19 de diciembre de 1941-Los Ángeles, 4 de febrero de 2016) fue un cantante, compositor y productor musical estadounidense, conocido principalmente por ser fundador de la banda Earth, Wind & Fire. Era también el hermano mayor de Verdine White, miembro de la banda en la actualidad, y de Fred White, antiguo miembro.

En 1970 toman el nombre de Earth, Wind & Fire en base al signo astrológico de Maurice White, Sagitario, que tiene una cualidad elemental primaria de fuego y cualidades estacionales de tierra y aire, según las triplicidades clásicas, de ahí la omisión del Agua, el cuarto elemento clásico.
