4 de ene. de 2008 · But alas, unbeknownst to me, both "Anchorman" and "Talladega Nights" are just two parts out of three movies that will make up "The Mediocre American Man Trilogy" (also known as "The Colon Trilogy"). The last part of the trilogy is set to be called "Booby Trap: The Tale of Rusty Butte," which in the title itself sounds like a raunchy good time.

Adam McKay has the possibly complete, possibly incomplete Mediocre American Man trilogy (aka the Colon trilogy), in which Will Ferrell plays a mediocre American man with the initials R.B. (Anchorman, Talladega Nights, and maybe/maybe not Anchorman 2). More information on the parallels here.
And hence, above all, his ‘Mediocre American Man’ series of losers who think they’re great: currently, this announced Trilogy stands at Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (Adam McKay, 2004) and Talladega Nights — although surely several of his other works could also already fit the bill.
