About The Bells. Anne and Cliff Edwards, Jackie Ralph, Mickey Ottier and Doug Gravelle formed the Five Bells in Montreal in 1965. Their first hit, "Moody Manitoba Morning," appeared in 1968. Dimension was released the following year, when Frank Mills replaced Mickey Ottier.
30 de ago. de 2023 · Anne and Cliff Edwards, Jackie Ralph, Mickey Ottier and Doug Gravelle shaped the Five Bells in Montreal in 1965. Their initial strike, “Moody Manitoba Morning hours,” made an appearance in 1968. Aspect was released the next calendar year, when Frank Mills changed Mickey Ottier.

In 1968, Polydor signed them to a recording contract–a few singles were moderately successful on a local level.. By 1970, the success of groups like the Guess Who and MOTHERLODE laid the foundation for a “Canadian Invasion.”
Shortly afterward Gordie McLeod left the group and Mickey Ottier became the groups drummer. In 1969 they released their first single called “ Moody Manitoba Morning “. They continued to play clubs in Canada and landed an 11-week run at the Copacabana in New York.
