He began by scaling Everest over 10 years ago and ended by summiting Shisha Pangma alongside Nims. David already held the record for the fastest time to climb Everest and K2 at 61 days 55 minutes, achieved in 2018.

His first ascent was Everest on 23 May 2010 and his last was Shisha Pangma on 29 October 2019. The project took Mingma Gyabu 9 years 159 days.
