Wanstall (1870-88), an Evangelical who was concerned to reach his parish's large labouring population, a small brick mission chapel was opened at Hinkshay. (fn. 45) It closed c . 1969 (fn. 46) and the building was used in 1980 as a social club for the adjacent Ever-Ready factory.
