Mohammed ″Mod″ Helmy (Arabic: محمد حلمي; 25 July 1901 in Khartoum – 10 January 1982 in West Berlin) was an Egyptian-German physician who was recognized by Israel as one of the Righteous Among the Nations in 2013, with his name being listed at Yad Vashem in the city of Jerusalem.
He believed that she thought it was her human duty to help the persecuted family. On 18 March 2013 Yad Vashem recognized Dr. Mohamed Helmy and Frieda Szturmann as Righteous Among the Nations. Rescued by an Egyptian in Berlin Dr. Mohamed Helmy was born in Khartoum in 1901 to Egyptian parents.
