7 de may. de 2023 · Nancy Greene Raine, née Nancy Catherine Greene, (born May 11, 1943, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada), Canadian Alpine skier and politician who was the winner of the inaugural women’s World Cup (1967–68). Greene’s family were all avid skiers, and she began skiing before she was six years old.
In 1967, Nancy Greene won the first Alpine skiing World Cup. The following year she competed in the 1968 Grenoble Olympic Winter Games, finishing tenth in the downhill and winning silver in the slalom. Giant slalom drama. The giant slalom in Grenoble was Greene's last chance for a victory.

Nancy Greene was Canada\'s top ski racer through the 1960\'s, winning gold and silver medals at the 1968 Grenoble Olympics and overall World Cup titles in 1967 and 68. Her total of 13 World Cup victories is still a Canadian record. She won 17 Canadian Championship titles in all disciplines.
