National Star is an exciting and ‘Good’ (Ofsted 2023) independent specialist college for disabled students. There is no such thing as a ‘typical’ National Star student. Most are between 16 and 25-years old and have a range of physical and learning disabilities.
The National Star College (previously known as the Star Centre) is an independent specialist further education college for people with physical disabilities, acquired brain injuries and associated learning difficulties.
Our Student Union represents the voices of all students at National Star and helps to make sure that college is a great place to live and learn. Students are supported throughout their time at National Star to be fit and healthy and develop as adults ready for the next stage in their lives.
National Star enables young people with disabilities to realise their potential through education and personalised learning opportunities, and by providing other transition and accommodation services. Wherever you learn with us, our goal is to help you realise your aspirations. We have a broad range of students at our Ullenwood, Cheltenham campus and have created three programmes of learning. These maximise the outcomes that can be achieved by our students, regardless of their disabilities.
