Newcastle upon Tyne Church High School (also known locally as "Church High") was a private day school for girls in Jesmond, less than a mile north of the city of Newcastle upon Tyne, England. Until 2014 it was the oldest continuously operating girls' school established in the city.

27 de ene. de 2018 · Newcastle High School is only briefly mentioned by Ms. Bell, hardly surprising as the School took steps to Decentralize from London as early as 1909 before becoming a self-governing Independent Church School in 1925, when ‘Church’ was added to the school’s name. We then became The Newcastle upon Tyne Church High School.
Formed in 2014 by the merger of two long-standing local Independent schools: Newcastle upon Tyne Church High School (see E.NC17) and Newcastle Central High School. The Senior School occupies the original, newly-refurbished, Tankerville Terrace premises of Church High School, while the Junior School is located in Sandyford.
In September 2014, Church High School and Central Newcastle High School merged to become Newcastle High School for Girls. Founded in 1872, and 1876 respectively, both were established to offer girls an exceptional education and to ensure girls and young women could have an equal place in the world.
