Erik Nicklas Lidström (nacido el 28 de abril de 1970) es un exdefensa sueco de hockey sobre hielo que jugó 20 temporadas en la Liga Nacional de Hockey para los Detroit Red Wings, el cual capitaneó en las últimas seis temporadas de su carrera.
Lidström was the first European-born-and-trained captain of a Stanley Cup-winning team, as well as the first European player named playoff MVP. Lidström is also the all-time leader in games played with a single NHL team by a European-born player. Lidström was inducted into the IIHF Hall of Fame in 2014.
One of the all-time greats, Lidstrom ranks 6th all-time in defenseman scoring. Over his 20-year career, the Red Wings legend won 7 Norris Trophies, 4 Stanley Cups, a Conn Smythe, and is a member of the Triple Gold Club as well. The 12x All-Star is also the first European to captain a Stanley Cup winning team.
