Nwangele es una localidad del estado de Imo, en Nigeria, con una población estimada en marzo de 2016 de 175 800 habitantes. [ 1 ] Se encuentra ubicada al sur del país, en la zona del delta del Níger , a poca distancia al norte del golfo de Guinea .
Nwangele is a Local Government Area of Imo State, Nigeria. The name was derived from the popular Nwangele river which marks the boundary between Amaigbo and Umuozu Isu. The river which is believed to have originated from Isiekenesi town passes through several villages in Amaigbo and empties into Oramiriukwa a tributary of Imo river. [1]
Abba is a town in Nwangele Local Government Area (LGA) in Imo State, Nigeria. Abba consists of four communities. Listed in order of seniority they are Umuokpara, Umudurunna, Ekiti-Afor, and Ogwuaga; the four communities encompass twenty-eight villages.
They include Orsu, Isu, Njaba, Nwangele, Nkwerre, Ideato North, Ideato South, Oru East, Oru West, Ohaji/Egbema, and Oguta. The city centre of the local government area is within the host towns of Amaifeke, Ihioma/Ebenese, Umuna, Umuowa, Umutanze, Okporo, Orlu-Gedegwum, and Owerre-Ebeiri.

The study evaluated contamination levels of some rivers in Nwangele, Southeastern, Nigeria using pollution and health risk indices as well as irrigation quality assessment. Samples were analyzed using standard methods. The result revealed pH values ranging from 4.59 ± 0.33 to 5.41 ± 0.31 in wet and dry seasons.
