Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is wish fulfillment. In this respect, I think that people like it in the same way that they like Midnight in Paris. But it's also very subtle. (For Tarantino, I mean.) Other than Checkov's flamethrower, the movie is a low key character study, which imagines that post 1970's Hollywood never occurred.

20 de may. de 2024 · Once Upon a time in Hollywood as my 5. I was just seriously underwhelmed by it. And perhaps that was intentional but I want to wait a bit before rewatching it. I’d put this as a 85. Kill bill 2 as my 6. 80+ on my scale. It just didn’t do it like kill bill 1 for me. I have never seen death proof.
21 de mar. de 2022 · Your cut of Once Upon a Time in...Hollywood was great. The deleted scenes were masterfully added and i especially loved the grainy filter of the acting scenes. The filter on the old TV were Rick was playing in the F.B.I show was also a very clever addition. Thanks for sharing it.
2 de dic. de 2019 · I observed a glitch cut in Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019) When Jim Stacey in his cowboy attire and red shirt comes to meet devastated Rick Dalton on the set for the first time, he comes towards him and takes off his hat as he greets Rick. Then there is a glitch cut, the hat is back on the Jim's head as the scene continues.
once upon a time in hollywood is a steaming pile of absolute dogshit. I've never seen such a boring, pointless, self-important movie in my life. There is no drama, no story, no tension, nothing. Nothing. It's terrible. Feel validated people out there who also dislike this shit movie, when critics try to gaslight us with "positive reviews."
Almost every aspect of Bruce Lee from that specific point in time (Green Hornet era) was inaccurate - hair style, fighting style, even his attitude. Bruce was arrogant but he was also fully aware of the cultural climate around Hollywood at the time and it's hard to believe he would blatantly antagonize so many people and risk losing his job.
