Philip John Fleck Jr. (born November 29, 1980) is an American football coach and former wide receiver. He has served as the head coach for the Minnesota Golden Gophers football team since 2017. Born in Sugar Grove, Illinois, Fleck played college football as a wide receiver for the Northern Illinois Huskies.
P.J. Fleck was named head football coach at Minnesota on January 6, 2017. Fleck, 43, is the 30th head coach in the program’s history. He has a career record of 80-56 and is 50-34 at Minnesota. In seven years, Fleck has established himself as one of the most successful coaches ever to lead the Minnesota program.
