It is rather curious that an 8-year old would choose the Carpenters’ Rainy Days and Mondays as one of the first 45s he ever bought though! Of course, I was falling big time for the music of the Carpenters, I didn’t like rain or storms, and well, I guess I didn’t like Mondays.
I too loved Hollywood Squares because the celebs were so funny. I mean, Paul Lynde alone... But Password holds a special place in my heart, because my mom used to watch it while we were at school and my dad was at work, and then play the game with us at the dinner table (with Mom acting as Allen Ludden and giving the clues).
