Queen Anne Grammar School. Coordinates: 53.964549°N 1.093492°W. Queen Anne Grammar School for Girls was a single-gender female state grammar school in the city of York, England. It began in 1906 as the Municipal Secondary School for Girls and was based in Brook Street.
The new site opened in January 1910, and in 1920 the name officially changed to Queen Anne Grammar School. The school was converted into a co-educational comprehensive school in 1985. It closed in July 2000.
Queen Anne's School is an independent boarding and day school for girls aged 11 to 19, situated in the suburb of Caversham just north of the River Thames and Reading town centre and occupying a 35-acre campus.
