Hun var barn av Sigurd Hjort Helgesson (ca. 810 -) og Tyrne Haraldsdotter (ca. 822 -). Hun ble født ca. år 840, på Ringerike, død ca. 858. Sammen med Halvdan Svarte fikk hun Harald Hårfagre, ca. år 850.
