It shares its title with a popular song of the same era. It was made at the Tempelhof Studios in West Berlin.

It’s 1944, the art dealer Herbert Thormann and his secretary Nora Krüger lives in Waldenberg Castle, run by Countess Waldenberg. Thormann actually lives and works in Italy, where he wants to return after the war – with Nora as his wife. She is surprised by his marriage proposal.
