The Retaliator isn't supposed to be ferrying around boat loads of freight or vehicles. Or hot dropping into ground combat zones. With this module it is supposed to transport a small amount of high value cargo, while having the means to ward off pretty much all ship classes.

And overall, if you're going XPT, the Retaliator isn't that super strong, so it can be a bit iffy once it's trimmed and running heavy loads.
